Hi, I am Maria del Carmen, the craftmaker and bookbinder behind Il Piccolo Studio di Maria.

My journey began in my 20s when friends and family started asking me for decoration ideas and unique project designs. I immigrated to this country with my baby and a heart full of dreams. Through the years, I have grown my craft through professional opportunities and a continuous sense of curiosity. I am proud to say that while I am self-taught in many of my techniques, I am also deeply inspired by the beautiful work of others.

My Nana used to say, "Only the sky is the limit—always be curious, learn a lot, and give this world a little bit of kindness." I never stopped dreaming, and today, I am so happy to share those dreams and products with you.
